PROFILE WHERE NOZZLE TRAVELS

This profile where the nozzle travels during the injection is very important.

Too sharp, the nozzle gets used too quickly and even lifts wood fibres or leaves scratches on the paint.

Too round, it enlarges the silicone rebate opening and creates uneven top-ups. Sometimes, not enough silicone, sometimes too much.

Ideal is to have a 2mm “flat” surface before the IGU and a chamfer of less than 1mm radius, ideally 0.5mm (see picture hereunder)
